Five distinguished members of the Rutgers School of Public Health community have been recognized with 2024 Rutgers Health Chancellor Awards for their outstanding contributions. These awards honor exceptional achievement in research, education, mentorship, service, and lifetime contributions.
Perry N. Halkitis, dean of the Rutgers School of Public Health, has received the 2024 Helen Rodriguez-Trías Social Justice Award from the American Public Health Association for his advocacy work and research aimed at improving the health of LGBTQ+ people and populations.
Iris Udasin, a professor at the Rutgers School of Public Health, will be presented the “Service Above Self” award at 9/11 ceremony in Washington, D.C.
