CEPH Accreditation

The Rutgers School of Public Health is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), an independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit schools of public health. All accredited schools undergo a periodic full evaluation every five to seven years.

Self-Study

As part of this evaluation, the school constructs a self-study report which comprehensively describes our instructional, research, and service efforts, as well as the resources, faculty, staff, and students. A team of qualified peer reviewers will assess the validity of the self-study report during an on-site visit.

The Rutgers School of Public Health completed a major self-study in November 2023, to prepare for re-accreditation. After review of the self-study and a thorough three-day site visit by representatives from CEPH, the CEPH Board of Councilors will publish a final report with its accreditation decision. The next site visit will be December 4-6, 2023. CEPH accreditation attests to the quality of an educational program and enhances a school or program's national reputation.
