Mary Hrywna, PhD, MPH (She/Her/Hers)
Biography
Mary Hrywna, Ph.D., M.P.H., is an assistant professor in the Department of Health Behavior, Society, and Policy at the Rutgers School of Public Health. She is also a founding member of the Rutgers Institute for Nicotine and Tobacco Studies. Dr. Hrywna has nearly twenty years of experience working at universities coordinating and conducting behavioral science and policy research. Dr. Hrywna earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communication from Douglass College at Rutgers University, her Master of Public Health in health behavior from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Public Health, and her doctoral degree from the Rutgers School of Public Health.
Research Interests
Dr. Hrywna's research areas and interests include tobacco regulatory science and tobacco control policy, particularly policies that may prevent or reduce tobacco use among young people and other special populations.
