We’re thrilled to kick off Rutgers School of Public Health's 2024-2025 21PHirst Signature Series on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 with Dr. Kaitlan Baston, Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Health!

The theme of this year’s series is Public Health Workforce Development. Hosted in collaboration with the school’s Center for Public Health Workforce Development, the series will explore how we can prepare, train, and educate an agile public health workforce that is prepared for post-pandemic challenges and advances.

Dr. Baston is a leader in public health, with a remarkable career dedicated to improving health outcomes for underserved populations. She has led groundbreaking initiatives in addiction medicine, maternal and child health, health disparities and behavioral health, both in New Jersey and nationwide. From building the Cooper Center for Healing to advising national health policy, Dr. Baston is a true advocate for social justice and health equity.

Eligible participants can receive NJPH Continuing Education or CHES/MCHES credit for attending this session. Join us to learn from a leading voice in public health and earn CE credit!
