Lan Luo, PhD
Biography
Lan Luo, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the Rutgers School of Public Health. Prior to joining Rutgers, Dr. Luo was an assistant professor in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Iowa. Dr. Luo did her Ph.D. in the Department of Biostatistics at University of Michigan, under the supervision of Professor Peter Song.
Research Interests
Dr. Luo’s research focuses on developing real-time analytics to meet the methodological requirements associated with the analysis of streaming data. These include large-scale databases that are periodically updated and mobile health data. In particular, Dr. Luo is interested in developing online analysis toolboxes with a main focus on statistical inference. In addition to these areas, Dr. Luo’s research pursuits encompass adaptive experimental design, longitudinal mediation analysis, and epigenetic clocks.
