Biography

Anita Kinney, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the Rutgers School of Public Health. She currently leads statewide community engagement and outreach activities for Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey which serves one of the most ethnically diverse states in the nation.

Research Interests

For over twenty-five years, Dr. Kinney has been an actively funded investigator in cancer prevention and control with a focus on behavioral, social, and care delivery genetics, cancer screening, and survivorship research. Her research combines behavioral science, clinical, and epidemiologic perspectives to address unsolved cancer prevention and control problems in diverse populations and settings.
