Health Behavior, Society & Policy

Established in 2018, the Department of Health Behavior, Society, and Policy was created by merging the Departments of Social and Behavioral Health Sciences and Health Systems and Policy. These departments now represent the two areas of academic concentration within the Department of Health Behavior, Society, and Policy. By helping social and behavioral science students gain a better understanding of the policy landscape, and by helping students in health systems and policy acquire a deeper understanding of human motivation, we aim to improve the development, implementation, dissemination, and sustainment of interventions to improve public health.
