NJSS

This online course meets part of the New Jersey Department of Education requirements for structured learning experience (SLE) supervision. The content of this course covers various topics regarding NJ administrative code, the role of the SLE coordinator, steps to begin a SLE program, and developing and implementing forms for the Worksite Analysis, Business/Agency agreement, Individualized Student Training Plan, and Worksite Evaluation.

This course has two parts. First, the online course on the Rutgers Canvas learning management system (LMS), including the completion of the mandatory day two field assignment, then the virtual live session hosted on Rutgers WebEx.

Participants will receive two certificates of completion, for 18.0 PDUs for the Canvas portion and for 1.5PDUs for the live session via email once payment is received for the course.

You must complete the four required work-based learning online courses during the same cohort. For the live sessions, please select the same virtual live session date to complete the three live sessions for the NJ Wage and Hour, Designing and Implementing Student Training Plans, and OSHA 10+ General Industry courses on the same day. The Federal Wage and Hour course does not include a virtual live session. You must be available between 11 AM and 3 PM on the live session date you choose.

Please note for when training is provided in-person:

For the Designing and Implementing Student Training Plans Course, the first day and the last day of the training will be held on-site, at location indicated. The day(s) in between will serve as a mock job site visit of your choosing (for a total of ~6 hours). Please plan accordingly; more information about the mock job site visit will be given upon registration and/or on day one of training.
