Accreditation

The Rutgers School of Public Health is accredited to December 31, 2023 by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), an independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit schools of public health. All accredited schools undergo a periodic full evaluation every five to seven years.

As part of this evaluation, the School constructs a self-study report which comprehensively describes our instructional, research, and service efforts, as well as the resources, faculty, staff, and students. A team of qualified peer reviewers will assess the validity of the self-study report during an on-site visit.

The Rutgers School of Public Health completed a major self-study in May 2015, to prepare for re-accreditation. After review of the self-study and a thorough three-day site visit by representatives from CEPH, the CEPH Board of Councilors published a final report with its accreditation decision. The last site visit was held June 10-12, 2015. CEPH accreditation attests to the quality of an educational program and enhances a school or program's national reputation.
