Academic Regalia

All Class of 2018 graduates who are on track to obtain their degree and who plan to participate in University Commencement and our School Convocation on May 11 MUST order and purchase their regalia from Oakhalli. You must order your academic regalia by April 23. All graduating students are required to wear academic regalia during the University Commencement and our School's Convocation ceremonies. Those in the Armed Forces must also wear academic regalia. Military uniforms may be worn underneath academic gowns.

With more than 40,000 people expected on our Busch, College Avenue, Cook/Douglass, and Livingston campuses to attend Rutgers University Commencement on Sunday, May 13, 2018, parking will be limited. Therefore, Commencement parking hangtags will be required for access to the parking zones established for the day. Graduating students will be given priority for parking.

Beginning March 19, graduating students may register for up to two free parking hangtags for themselves and their guests. Students are encouraged to register early. Parking is assigned by parking zones on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking hangtags will be mailed by early May to the address provided during parking hangtag registration. Registration for two free parking hangtag ends April 16. Details can be found at

More details about parking, getting around, and registration are available in the Parking & Getting Around section of the University Commencement website:

Parking hangtags are not required for those who plan to attend our Convocation only (and not attend Commencement).
