Th Department of Urban Health Administration (URHA) emphasizes hands-on, case-based method and other practical learning experiences. Courses in URHA are be offered primarily at the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) on the Rutgers-Newark campus. Rutgers SPAA has consistently been ranked as one of the top ten such programs in the U.S. All students enrolled in the Department will take 12 credits of required classes and a minimum of 12 elective credits in the Department. Students also have the opportunity to select electives from other departments at the School well as from other offerings across Rutgers University. Students concentrating in this Department will select fieldwork placements consistent with careers in leadership, program development and management in medical, public health and nonprofit organizations.
